This is a bit out of the ordinary, I know, but I’ve been watching makeup blogs lately. And I freaking love eyeshadows. So you all get to go on my eyeshadow adventures with me. :D
I’m calling today’s look “Burnished Zin,” and it’s done using Aromaleigh’s Pure Hue mineral eyeshadows (which unfortunately are no longer available for purchase, oh noes!). I’m trying to convince myself to not fall in love with any of the Pure Hues (I bought the sample set) since I can’t buy any more once I run out of the sample, heh. These are very nice pigments; they go on nice and smooth, and the colors are vibrant and pretty.
The Overall Look:
The Makeup:
Face: Palladio Rice Powder in translucent (it obviously doesn’t cover up my freckles, heh)
Lips: L’Oreal HIP Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss in ‘Coy’
Eyes: (over Urban Decay’s Primer Potion; all shadows are by Aromaleigh)
Lid: ‘14K’ on inner corner, ‘Tarnish’ with ‘Zinfandel’ blend on outer corner
Crease: ‘Adobe’ with ‘Tarnish’ as lowlights; ‘Tarnish’ on outer edge of crease
Brow: ‘Alchemy’
Liner: Ulta Metallic Eyes Automatic Eyeliner in ‘Golden Eyes’ (bottom lashes only)
The Eyes:
Color Swatches:
Unfortunately since the Pure Hue line has been discontinued, it was difficult to find swatches. Unfortunately, I didn’t save the image from the website (since I was apparently oblivious and didn’t see that it was going bye-bye), so I had to do some hunting to find photos of the product/swatches. All of these are snipped from Aromaleigh looks images. :)
