Geekcrafting: Middle Earth Map Pillow

March 13, 2015 Geek Girl Life, Geekcrafting 0

Welcome to Geekcrafting! Every Friday, we’ll feature a new geeky crafting project made mostly by other wonderfully crafty geeks out there and occasionally by us. If you have a geekcraft you’d like us to feature, hit the Contact link up there and send us a message with the subject “Geekcrafting.”

My fellow fangirl Amanda stumbled across this on Pinterest last week, and we squealed over it so much that we just had to feature it on Geekcrafting.

It’s a pillow. But it’s more than just a pillow.

It’s a pillow with a map of Middle Earth.

Middle Earth Pillow by FandomFabric on Etsy

If you’ve ever sat on your couch and suddenly needed to know the best way to just walk into Mordor, this may be the geeky craft project for you.

Featuring custom fabric from FandomFabric on Etsy, you can make the pillow itself easily enough, and then embroider the paths of the Fellowship of the Ring and Bilbo Baggins onto the map. The project looks fairly easy to finish, and you’ll have a gorgeous bit of geekery to decorate your house. Click to view this tutorial graphic from Pinterest at full size.
