Welcome to Fan Art Friday, where we talk about our favorite fan artists! This week’s post features the amazingly talented Megan Lara.
Back a few years ago, I snagged the Firefly Les Femmes posters from Quantum Mechanix at San Diego Comic Con, and thus began my love affair with Megan Lara’s art. Her figures are gorgeous, and I love how she can adapt her style to fit into existing genres like Art Nouveau or pinup nose art. Be sure to check out her original artwork, too, and remember that you can buy prints and sometimes t-shirts through her Tumblr.
Here are some of my favorites from her portfolio:
A Pam Poovey pin up. Can this be any more perfect?
Show of hands, who loves Princess Mononoke?
The patron goddess of kick ass science fiction women, Ellen Ripley, in a gorgeous Art Nouveau style. I need this for my wall.
Right now, she’s a featured artist at TeeFury, so you can do more than just ogle her beautiful artwork online. You can wear it on your chest.
I may need this one because guuhhhh gorgeous. And guys, I don’t even watch Hannibal regularly.
