X-Men: First Class is out on DVD/Blu-ray in Russia already, and luckily for those of us who are still deprived (or depraved, I’m not picky), some generous soul has uploaded the deleted scenes.
There are, of course, spoilers in this video, so if you haven’t watched the movie yet, beware.
Sadly, no matter how much I curse at it, the video won’t embed. Click here to watch!
I’m kind of surprised that all of these were cut. Sometimes it’s obvious why a scene was left on the cutting room floor, but these all serve to expand the characterization and relationships in the movie. I think they were cut for time, if I recall something I read from Matthew Vaughn, but I think it’s a shame. I would’ve sat through ten more minutes of the movie, especially if those ten minutes made the brief training period make more sense.
