The Discriminating Fangirl is happy to host the “What’s Your Sanctuary?” contest!
No Mercy by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Live fast, fight hard and if you have to die then take as many of your enemies with you as you can. That is the Amazon credo and it was one Samia lived and died by. Now in contemporary New Orleans, the immortal Amazon warrior is about to learn that there’s a worse evil coming to slaughter mankind than she’s ever faced before.
Shapeshifter Dev Peltier has stood guard at the front of Sanctuary for almost two hundred years and in that time, he’s seen it all. Or so he thought. Now their enemies have discovered a new source of power- one that makes a mockery of anything faced to date.
The war is on and Dev and Sam are guarding ground zero. But in order to win, they will have to break the most cardinal of all rules and pray it doesn’t unravel the universe as we know it.
The “What’s Your Sanctuary?” Contest!
Many a Kenyon fan has said that that they have found sanctuary in her books throughout the years. Her fans also know about The Sanctuary, the fictional New Orleans bar in the Dark-Hunter world. Avid readers will often say that books provide a great retreat…that the release of a new book from a favorite author can make one’s day…that there’s nothing better than suspending disbelief and allowing oneself to sink into a storyline or a fantasy world.
We want to know, what’s your sanctuary? Maybe it’s a cozy corner in your house, your favorite coffee shop, a shady bench in the local park. Maybe it’s playing Rock Band or World of Warcraft. We want you to tell us what your sanctuary is and why you love it so much! One lucky commenter will receive a copy of No Mercy!

First of all, I love these books. Kind of can’t stop reading them. Heh heh. Second, as weird as it may sound, my sanctuary is my office. Here, though I have tons of work to do, my children and my husband are the last things on my mind. It’s there I also get a lot of internet stuff done that cannot be accomplished at home. Sadly, there are not hot Weres in my sanctuary. ;)

My sanctuary is a local bookstore/coffee house. I can go there when I need to get away and just get lost in all the books. A good cup of caffine usually helps as well. Only problem is I usually buy way too many books and my wallet hates me after.

Cool contest!
Okay, this may sound weird but my most precious *sanctuary* is a particular boulder-strewn ledge that sits on the edge of our park lake, under a tall twisted friendly old tree – especially late at night.
It’s *my place*, and just feels right. I sit there and think about things big and small. Or I imagine mystical creatures skimming the lake, or wonder what I’d do if I *real* vampire suddenly made itself known. It’s a very creative spot LOL
PS – I follow you in GFC, not sure if that counts or not

Mine is a good book. And at least 20 minutes to just sit and read it.
