We use a 0 to 5 star rating system here at TDF, and here's what the ratings mean so you can get a general idea of how we feel about a book just by looking at the stars.
5 stars : Almost perfect!
4 stars : Loved it!
3 stars : Liked it. Some reservations.
2 stars : Didn't like it.
1 star : Strongly disliked it.
0 stars : Loathed it.
We also use half-star ratings for more subtle nuanced versions of whether we liked or hated that book. DNF means we didn't finish reading the book for whatever reason.
